Cavity wall insulation

About 1/3 of heat loss from domestic properties is through the walls.  The majority of post 1935 houses have cavity wall construction.  Generally, if your walls are more than 9” thick (22.5cms) they are likely to be a cavity construction, and the external brick pattern can indicate this as well.

Cavity-wall insulation is injected through the outer wall of your home into the space between the inner and outer leaves of brickwork that make up cavity walls.  The small injection holes are filled with mortar following the installation and you will immediately benefit from a better insulated property. Installation is quick (usually less than 1 day) and is all done from the outside, so there is little impact on the occupants.
